The position

In the role of International Sales Manager Export + Global Accounts, you will be responsible for developing growth at a global level, with a focus on Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. You will oversee market and competitive analysis, develop an effective sales strategy and work on further positioning and growth.

You will be responsible for the acquisition and development of new branded or agent/distributor customers for the Prinsen Berning categories and product portfolio. You will also ensure good cooperation with other departments, with a strong focus on stakeholder management. This is reflected in the execution and monitoring of the perfect execution process of customer initiatives. From the idea to the actual launch of new products.

The organisation

Prinsen-Berning is a leading producer of high-quality (instant) foods with a focus on the health and premium instant segment.

The company develops and produces (instant) food products for retailers and for many major international brands in the field of sports nutrition, vitamin supplement shakes, etc. Prinsen Berning has two production facilities in Helmond and Georgsmarienhütte.

In Helmond you will find the turnkey manufacturer of powdered nutritional products for customer brands, i.e. private label and contract manufacturing, supplying many well-known retailers and brand owners worldwide. A wide range of solutions for weight management, sports performance, general wellness, recovery and healthy ageing are developed and produced in a modern, highly efficient production facility in Helmond, the Netherlands.

In Georgsmarienhütte you will find the leading manufacturers of high quality protein bars for the DSW (Diet, Sport and Wellness) product categories.

Prinsen Berning offers brand owners and retailers a complete one-stop-shop in Active Nutrition, a next-generation food category where products are specifically designed to support consumers in their quest for active living and healthy ageing.

The Prinsen Berning teams work closely together, sharing best practices and technical expertise to enhance innovation capabilities.

Job content

  • You know how to create solid prospect lists. You know how to spot, analyse and identify opportunities and translate them into commercial opportunities;
  • You will be responsible for creating new opportunities in the market as well as growing and optimising Key Accounts;
  • You will be responsible for annual customer negotiations, P&L management, accurate sales forecasting and a flawlessly executed promotional plan;
  • You know how to build and maintain a strong network of clients and organisations;
  • Provide a holistic view of the Active Nutrition co-manufacturing account universe in ASIA/MIDDLE EAST/LATAM: identify and anticipate sales/consumption trends;
  • You follow developments in the market and know how to convert this into new opportunities;
  • You are the face at various fairs and networking events relevant to Prinsen Berning and know how to create new opportunities;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects;
  • Manage and update CRM system to keep customer data and sales activities up-to-date.

Position within the organisation

As International Sales Manager Export + Global Accounts you will be part of the international sales team and report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. You will join a team of 6 sales professionals and work closely with the Category Manager and New Business Marketing colleague to support you throughout the sales cycle. The position requires frequent international travel. This position is based in Helmond. You will be able to work from home, but you will also regularly work from the Georgsmarienhütte site.

Requirements

For this role, Luke Recruitment is looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial and driven sales professional. A professional who is energised by working internationally and wants to make a commercial impact.

  • HBO/Academic work and thinking level;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Proven track record in new business development;
  • Result focused with a growth mind set;
  • Experienced in Joint Business Planning (Customer business plan execution);
  • Experience with internal and external stakeholder management;
  • Organized & disciplined;
  • Analytical skills with the ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation plans for new business development;
  • Experience with FMCG is a must, experience with a (branded) manufacturer is an advantage;
  • Speaks and writes English fluently;
  • German language skills are an advantage.
