Privacy Officer
The Privacy Officer supports the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and Privacy Office team in implementing privacy practices and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate documentation, handling data subject requests, assisting with privacy assessments, and monitoring vendor compliance. The Privacy Officer works closely with internal stakeholders and participates in monthly privacy meetings with the Security, Legal, and Risk teams.
You will:
- Maintain and update the register of processing activities (ROPA) as instructed by the DPO.
- Document and update data inventory logs as processing activities evolve.
- Respond to data subject requests (e.g., access, deletion, correction) under DPO guidance.
- Verify identities for requests and manage procedural steps.
- Track and log request statuses, ensuring timely responses per GDPR requirements.

You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Law, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic understanding of GDPR and willingness to develop in-depth expertise.
- Ability to clearly communicate with team members and advocate for privacy practices.
- Strong organizational skills for managing records and tracking compliance documentation.
- Maintains professionalism and discretion with sensitive information.
- CIPP/E or other privacy certification (or willingness to obtain).
