Quality Management Systems / Product & EHS Supervisor

For BESS, we specialize in solutions that serve a multitude of applications in utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) sectors, including renewable energy, time shift, self-consumption, frequency control, peak shaving, fast charging, and energy trading. Our solutions are utilized for electric vehicle charging and renewable energy integration, both on- and off-grid, among others.

About the job:

The Quality Management Systems / Product & EHS Supervisor reports to the Manager Operations of CES and is responsible for coordinating and executing activities to maintain a Quality Management System in accordance of ISO standards, Exide Central Quality and Customer specific requirements. He/She ensures CES product quality and supervises incident resolution. He/She is also in charge of defining and implementing the EHS strategy and ensuring the meeting of all legal requirements for EHS issues.

The role is based in Helmond (near Eindhoven).

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?

  • Set up and maintain a quality management system.
  • Safeguard CES product quality and tracking quality incidents.
  • Assure conformity and final tests of CES products before shipping to Customer.
  • Manage Customer claims.
  • Coordinate HS activities and follow up on safety incidents.
  • Coordinate and follow up on quality with suppliers.
  • Define and implement the EH&S strategy in collaboration with the divisional/group EHS team.
  • Ensure the EH&S minimum requirements are always respected in the scope of responsibility.

What we ask for:

  • Bachelor with significant years of professional experience (Level 3) or Master/Engineering Degree (Level 4), ideally in Quality/EHS Management.
  • Between 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • We are looking fo someone efficient, well organized, reliable, with a strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards needed.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Certifications: VCA Manager level, NEN 3140, HS officer.
