In this role you lead approximately 15 warehouse employees on a daily basis. You prepare their work schedules and warehouse activities and and if necessary you cooperate. You will be accountable to the supervisor.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the warehouse team to ensure efficient operations in receiving, storage, and delivery, optimizing the use of available skills and knowledge. Make real-time adjustments to staff assignments based on needs, manage job rotation, and collaborate with other departments to enhance production performance;
  • Manage various administrative tasks such as reporting and hours registration, using computer systems to ensure accurate and timely documentation;
  • Provide training and coaching to warehouse operators, ensuring continuous skill development and validating training needs to improve overall team performance;
  • Participate in and lead warehouse improvement initiatives such as 5s and Kaizen events, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and enhancing warehouse infrastructure and processes;
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including reporting all incidents and near misses to maintain a safe workplace;

  • A gross monthly salary within a range of 3000,- – 3500,- according to your experience.
  • Shiftallowance of 8.75% (2 shifts in busy periods)

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in leading teams in a warehouse;
  • Customer centric approach;
  • Willing to work in 2 shifts during busy periods;
  • Continuous strive for improvement with the ability to make proposals to improve processes;
  • Fluent spoken and written Dutch and/or English;
  • Aware of lean methodologies (FIFO, 5S, Kaizen);
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle WMS, SAP, end-to-end procedures and logistics activity.
